LAW S9458. The main part of this law states that anyone that wants to purchase a semi-automatic RIFLE on or after September 3rd will need a "semi auto rifle" License and be at least 21 years old. It is not clear where this license will come from OR how long it will take to get. IF it is a COUNTY controlled license (which is most likely) It may take YEARS to get you license. Suffolk county is currently backed up 2 years on pistol licenses. It is clear that the license only applies to purchase commencing on the effective date of September 3rd, 2022 and after. Any purchases made prior the effective date are not affected and do not need to be registered. We will be using the date of the NICS transaction number to establish.

On June 6th New York State signed 10 new laws affecting the sale, purchase and possession of firearms.

Law S9456 expanded the defining of items that civilians can no longer purchase. Others and Shockwave types are now included in this definition.

This is in effect on July 5th.

We will no longer be transferring unfinished Lower Receivers. Others and Shockwave types AFTER Sunday July 3rd , 2022. (as we ARE closed on the 4th) in accordance with NY law S9456. As of July 3rd , 2022 we have to stop transferring the "other" type firearms including the Tac 14' and Shockwaves.

We want to make our customers aware that S9456 does not state in the law any type of "grandfathering" of these items. If you own an unfinished lower receiver the recommendation is to assemble it so it is than a "rifle".

If you transfer a lower or Shockwave type shotgun from an online retailer it will be at your own risk. If the item shoes up after the date it will be sent at the buyer's expense.
